Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Program

The Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Program provides assistance to residents in need of durable medical equipment for in-home use at no charge. We are prioritizing people experiencing homelessness and those with limited income. Types of Durable Medical Equipment include canes, crutches, grab bars, manual wheelchairs, rollators, shower chairs, shower heads, and walkers.

Emergency Preparedness Program

Emergencies and disasters can strike quickly and without warning. Having an emergency preparedness plan, emergency supply kit, and a Support Network can reduce the fear and anxiety that accompany emergencies and disasters. Visit disability.lacity.org/services/emergency-preparedness-program to download the DOD emergency preparedness manual.

ReelAbilities Film Festival Los Angeles (RAFFLA)

ReelAbilities Film Festival: Los Angeles is a three-day online festival that showcases new and classic films, conversations, and artistic programs, and that explores, embraces, and celebrates the diversity of our shared human experience.  All films are presented with full audio description and closed captioning.  We will work together with the public (irrespective of ability) to gain a greater appreciation of quality film across abilities.
